What a lovely session of joint play and learning with parents - based around communication and language development. The children were excited to show their favourite resources and areas around the nursery. Communication and language is one of the prime areas of learning because it underpins all development.  How fantastic to see families sharing stories, singing rhymes, making up stories in the small world areas, describing what was being created in our art area and even learning new vocabulary when finding out about our chickens. A paper copy of our information leaflet about how we support communication and language development was available and an electronic copy emailed out.
