The children at Cookham Nursery School were really excited when they heard that a real life author was coming to read her book to them! A local author, Rhian Lynette has written a story called 'Bear and Goose.' It's a lovely story about acceptance and inclusion and this was a fabulous opportunity for our children to experience the joy of storytelling firsthand and to ask questions about the magical world of books. We talked about what an author and illustrator does and Rhian shared her PowerPoint with us, showing how the story and illustrations began. Rhian also gave us a copy of her book for our library. She has just started writing a second book and will share that one with us when she has finished it.
